Canaan Group is currently seeking highly motivated Truck Drivers to work in our growing company.  This position is open and immediately available. 
 
Position: Container Truck Driver
Job Vacancy: 6
Job Location: xxxx1 Twigg Place, Richmond, BC V6V 3C9
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time 37.5 hrs/week
Wage & Benefit: $18-$22.60 per hour (depending on experience), 10 days of paid vacation
 
Main Duties:
-. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport containers from Richmond to all major container terminals
-. Loading and unloading of goods, tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
-. Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
-. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
-. Perform brake adjustments and monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
-. Majority of time is spent in the cab of the truck while driving
-. Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods and driver?s hours
 
Job Requirements:
-. Completion of secondary education
-. Class 1 driver's license
-. Abstract and history of driving record required
-. Applicant must be able to lift min. 60 lbs.
-. Work experience in driving a container truck will be a great asset
